San Francisco Skyline Panorama

I've been waiting for the perfect late Spring storm to get some really cool cloud formations above the city. After visiting the same spot a few times before but conditions never quite being right for the picture that I wanted to create, I tried again late last week.... I was in luck!  Epic, booming clouds were forming over San Francisco after sunset which provided the perfect opportunity to create a stitched panorama of the whole Bay, stretching all the way from Twin Peaks to the Golden Gate Bridge and encompassing everything in between including the Bay Bridge, new Salesforce Tower (the tallest skyscraper on the West Coast) and the TransAmerica building. This is a stitch of 12 photographs and I love the eerie colors that the sunset caused with the beautiful purple and yellow hues. 

With Summer now starting, the bay will spend a significant amount of time shrouded in fog in the early mornings and evenings so I was happy to get this before "Karl" (the local name that San Franciscans give to the fog) sets in for the next few months; I'm excited though to capture some photos of this unique weather phenomena.

Como Sunsets

I'm fortunate enough to be in Lake Como at the moment teaching some workshops. The beauty of the scenery here is breathtaking. I'll be sharing lots of shots in due course but here are two 100+ stich panorama that I took just a few hours apart. The first was taken as the fog rolled in magnificently between the mountains and the second during one of the most spectacular sunsets that I've ever seen.  

Twickenham Stadium

Last week, I was at Twickenham Stadium, the home of English rugby in South London on a shoot for RBS photographing two English rugby legends, Jason Leonard and Graham Rowntree.

Whilst there, I took the opportunity to photograph the stadium empty before the shoot. As many, of you know empty arenas are one of my favourite subject matters to shoot evoking memories of all of the great moments of triumph and jubilation along with anguish and defeat that have occurred within these magnificent arenas throughout their histories. 

With an attendance of 82,000 making it the largest rugby union venue in the world, Twickenham is a particularly interesting stadium to shoot replete with vivid green seats and modernist architecture despite it being over a hundred years old.  Below are a couple of my favourite photos of the stadium including a panorama which is a composite stitch of fifteen photographs.
