It’s always humbling to receive recognition for my photography work and I was recently named as one of the top fine art photographers in San Francisco by Giggster. You can see the full article here.

Colloboration with SFMOMA /
I’ve teamed up with SFMOMA to provide photographs of the museum for all of its members for use as Zoom or Microsoft Team backgrounds. Here’s the page.
These photos mean that while the museum is still closed due to the shutdown, its members can spruce up their next staff meeting or happy hour with sights from SFMOMA’s collection and nightlife from events at the museum.
Here’s how to set the images below as your background on Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
Rush Hour - San Francisco /
If only the Bay Bridge was this quiet normally during rush hour..
Chosen as one of the six best Fine Art Photographers in San Francisco /
I was so excited to be chosen by Peerspace as one of the six best Fine Art Photographers in San Francisco. See here for the feature on my work along with the five other talented photographers chosen.
Radio Interview With CBS /
I recently popped into the CBS studios in San Francisco to chat with well known afternoon news anchor Jeff Bell to discuss my photography career and upcoming projects.
We also recorded a podcast as part of the “Adversity to Advocacy” series where we also talked about how my career began as a diversion from chronic head pain.
I hope through doing interviews such as these to create greater awareness for POTS and inspire others living with chronic pain to achieve their dreams.
Below I’ve included a two minute quick synopsis of our chat, a photo of me in the studio as well our conversation in full that goes into more depth about my fine art work and exciting upcoming projects.
Feature on my photography on Fox /
It was a pleasure to be interviewed this week by Fox to talk about my photography, life story and also help raise awareness for all those with invisible illnesses. Here’s some behind the scenes shot from the day.
I was excited for the piece to air earlier today and I’ve been overwhelmed by such amazing and positive feedback - they even showed it three times throughout the day on the morning, lunch and nightly news! You can view it here. or by clicking on the video below.
New York Aerial Photos On Display At Photokina /
It was great to have my work recently exhibited at Photokina, the worlds largest photography show in Cologne Germany that attracts over 700,000 visitors.
These pieces were created when I was hanging high above Manhattan in a helicopter and form part of my larger “Urban Reflections” fine-art series As with all the work in this series, the pieces were printed large format so that visitors could appreciate the detail in each photo and produced on a slick, modern and slim acrylic subframe. This means the photographs maintain a high level of quality and detail whilst also giving the overall piece a really cool contemporary finish. These pieces have been sold into private collections and I’m working on putting together a larger gallery show. I also think they would make the perfect pieces for a trendy New York hotel…don’t you agree?
Late Summer in Yosemite /
Yosemite National Park is such a special place to photograph. It has something for everyone: enormous Sequoia trees, cascading waterfalls, beautiful meadows and of course those awe-inspiring iconic granite cliffs and rock formations including El Capitan and Half Dome (from which the North Face Logo is based)
I made a quick trip there last weekend in between some jobs to capture some landscape photos following the recent fires. It was so sad to see the massive devestation caused by the Ferguson fire which was especially noticeable when driving into the valley off the road from Wawona. However, fortunately much of the beauty and majesty of the park remains intact.
Below are a few of my favorite shots from the trip. I can’t wait to go back in a few weeks to photograph some fall color.
Fun fact…Yosemite has more granite formations than anywhere else on the planet!!
Exposure Isn't Everything /
Sometimes perfect exposure doesn't always mean getting the shot that you're after. For example, in this fine-art photograph I wanted to give this stretch of Manhattan Beach an ethereal appearance and therefore chose to use my histograms to over-expose the image, defying normal convention. This produced a somewhat dreamy effect helped by the already hazy conditions.
I really like this effect as it helps to draw attention to composition and color as well as creating a very specific mood. I'm therefore working on a series of these shots with a similar effect from different beaches. I've included another one here with a similar effect achieved from a beach in Miami.
Tidal Pools /
I found these really unique tidal pools on the outskirts of La Jolla whilst on a trip to Southern California last week. I loved how the rock formations and pools of water gave the beach an almost lunar-esque appearance and it provided plenty to work with in terms of interesting foreground subject and composition. Given that it was the holidays, I was fortunate that the beach was relatively empty and although I didn't quite get the sunset and clouds I was hoping for, here are two of my favourites from a great location. I'll definitely be heading back here soon!
